ORLANDO, Fla. – The
Florida Atlantic women's track & field team closed out the two-day meet in Orlando on Saturday afternoon after five events to complete the trip.
Day two began with graduate student
Promise Cross competing in the high jump. Next up on the day was the 800-meter run, when
Rosa ten Berg and
Sofia Molina represented the Owls. For the third event of the afternoon, Nicholas ran the 100-meter prelims. The Owls had two runners (
Jada Bolhuis and
Richelle Williams) representing FAU in the 400-meter dash. To finalize the meet for FAU, the Owls ran in the 4x400-meter relay.
- Cross finished with a 1.68m on the day in the high jump.
- First to cross the finish line for the Owls was ten Berg, who placed sixth overall with a time of 2:09.16.
- Molina etched herself in the program's top ten with a 2:12.75 for a season-best as an Owl in the 800-meter run.
- Bolhuis (57.54) and Williams (57.55) finished within a second of each other in the 400-meter dash.
- Bolhuis, Molina, ten Berg, Laura Kuhn, and Williams ran the 4x400-meter relay. They registered a 3:48.77, placing fifth overall.
The Owls will travel to Jacksonville, Florida, to race in the UNF Invitational on Friday, May 2, through Saturday, May 3.
