BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic sophomore pitcher
MJ Bollinger has been named to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year Midseason Watch List. The award recognizes the top relief pitchers in the country.

Bollinger has established himself as the Owls' go-to option out of the bullpen in the late innings. In 18 appearances, he's totaled a 2.17 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 29 innings. The native of Fort Lauderdale is second in the American Athletic Conference with eight saves.

The midseason watch list includes 56 of the nation's top relief pitchers. Bollinger is one of three representatives from the AAC, along with Tulane's Michael Lombardi and UAB's Brendan Conner.

The NCBWA will announce finalists on Wednesday, June 4, with the winner named on Friday, June 13, at the College World Series.Â
