McLaughlin, Honzovicova Named CUSA Pair of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic beach volleyball's pair of Kate McLaughlin and Julie Honzovicova, who finished a perfect 4-0 at the NOLA Classic, were named the Conference USA Pair of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The honor marks the fifth for the Sandy Owls this season. It also marks the first career weekly honor for McLaughlin and the third for Honzovicova.
The pair recorded four straight-set wins at the No. 2 position, improving to an impressive 9-2 as a pair this season. On Friday, Honzovicova and McLaughlin earned two straight-set sweeps over Tulane, 22-20, 21-17, and McNeese, 21-14, 21-12. On Saturday, the duo closed out the weekend with another pair of back-to-back sweeps against San Jose State, 21-18, 21-15, and Tarleton State, 21-15, 21-8.
