MEMPHIS, TENN. – The No. 57 Florida Atlantic men's tennis team, a No.3 seed, fell in the American Athletic Conference semifinal round to tournament host and the No. 2 seed No. 50 Memphis by a 4-2 score on Saturday morning.
The Owls continued with doubles dominance by earning the match's first point, but were only able to make good on one singles court with freshman
Marek Pazdera coming away with a 6-2, 6-4 court six win. Freshman
Segundo Goity Zapico finished with a team best 22-12 record this season.
The young FAU squad tallied an 11-9 record in 2024-25 as they were led by senior captain No. 109
John Bernard and saw
Simon Myslivec and
Marek Pazdera earn a No. 89 doubles ranking. The Owls will await the possibility of postseason play, which will be announced on Monday, April 28.
