Owls Host Wichita State as AAC Schedule Heats Up

BOCA RATON, Fla.  – Florida Atlantic baseball (24-12, 6-6 AAC) hosts Wichita State (12-24, 4-8 AAC) for a three-game series beginning Thursday at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN+. Friday's middle game is also set for 6:30 p.m., while Saturday's finale will have a 1 p.m. first pitch.

OWLS IN REVIEW
- After a five-game winning streak, the Owls have dropped three consecutive one-run games.
- On Tuesday at Miami, the Owls led 1-0 and 4-3 before Miami scored twice in the eighth and held on for a 5-4 final.
- FAU used nine different pitchers, six of whom did not allow an earned run.
WHO'S HOT
- Marshall Lipsey doubled and tripled on Tuesday and enters Thursday with a 34-game reached-base streak.
- Lipsey leads the Owls in nine offensive categories, including RBI, slugging percentage, and stolen bases.
- Trey Beard is fourth in Division I with 85 strikeouts. Beard has a chance to break the single-season program record set by Todd Moser in 1999 (130).
THE OPPONENT
- Wichita State was swept at home by UTSA last weekend.
- The Shockers led Kansas 5-1 on Tuesday before conceding a five-run second inning and a seven-run fourth. The Jayhawks would go on to win 18-12.
- WSU leads the AAC with 11 triples and 77 hit batters.
