BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Panna Bartha, a Florida Atlantic sophomore on the No. 27 women's tennis team, has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, announced by the AAC on Tuesday.
Bartha has been instrumental in the Owls' 2025 success on their way to the No. 1 seed in the AAC Championship, which begins Thursday, April 17. Bartha helped FAU cap a 15-0 regular season and enter the postseason as the nation's only unbeaten team as the Owls defeated No. 55 FIU for the first time since 2003 with a 4-1 victory in Boca Raton. Bartha took a 7-5, 7-6 (5) victory at No. 1 singles and was a 6-4 winner at No. 3 doubles. Bartha, the 2024 American Rookie of the Year, improved to 11-4 in singles play in her sophomore season.
