Owls Square Off with UTSA on the Road

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Florida Atlantic baseball heads to the Lone Star state for a three-game weekend series with UTSA. Friday night's first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Saturday's middle game is set for 5 p.m. ET, and Sunday's finale will get underway at 2 p.m. ET. The Owls (19-6) and the Roadrunners (20-7) both enter the second weekend of league play at 2-1 in the American Athletic Conference.

Florida Atlantic dropped a 3-2 midweek matchup against Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday.
John Schroeder homered in the sixth inning to give the Owls a 2-1 lead.
After FGCU tied it in the eighth inning, the Owls had the bases loaded with no outs in the ninth.
They did not score, and the Eagles quickly ended the game in the bottom of the ninth with three consecutive hits to walk it off.

The Owls return to Fort Myers for another Tuesday matchup with Florida Gulf Coast on April 1. The teams will meet at Hammond Stadium, home of the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (Minnesota Twins Single-A affiliate), for a 6 p.m. first pitch.
