BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Florida Atlantic's women's track & field team completed the indoor season at the 2025 American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday evening.
The Owls have another strong day on the track as more program records and personal bests were set throughout the day. Sophomore
Jessica Hatch competed in the mile and finished with a 4:51.89 to move her name to No. 1 in the books of Florida Atlantic. Hatch broke the record after 21 years, with the previous time being 4:52.02.
- Hatch got the Owls off to a great start as she placed eighth in the mile
- In the 800 meter, junior Rosa ten Berg scored four points for Florida Atlantic. ten Berg registered a 2:11.16 on the day
- The Owls had four runners compete in the 3000 meter run (Hatch, Elyssa Toal, Isabel O'Brien, and Leah Helms)
- Another event for Hatch that she competed in was the 3000 meter with a time of 9:37.52, finishing the race eighth overall. She ran her personal best and moved up in the record book from No. 4 to No. 2
- Senior Toal also ran in the 3000 meter and came in at the 9:57.86 mark to move herself up in the record book from No. 8 to No. 7
- For the last event of the day for Florida Atlantic, Jada Bolhuis, ten Berg, Sofia Molina, and Richelle Williams competed in the 4x400 meter. They registered a 3:49.22
Florida Atlantic will begin the outdoor season in Coral Gables, Fla. on Saturday, Mar. 22 in the UM Hurricane Invitational
