Prestige Windows Student-Athletes of the Month Named

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic Athletics has named its Prestige Windows & Doors Student-Athletes of the Month for January with men's tennis player Simon Myslivec and Maria Myklebust from women's basketball receiving the honors.

The monthly awards are presented to a male and female Florida Atlantic student-athlete to recognize their excellence in the classroom. FAU's athletic academic staff votes on the award. This marks Myklebust's second honor after previously earning it in August.Â
"Simon is truly deserving of this month's Student-Athlete of the Month award! After finishing last semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA, he has carried that success into the current semester, with straight A's. In addition to his academic achievements, Simon is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), where he consistently shows strong leadership. "Maria has gotten off to a fantastic start this semester, with A's in every one of her classes so far, despite taking on a heavier course load!
