BOCA RATON, Fla. – Currently on a five-game winning streak, the Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team looks to keep the momentum going with a home matchup against Wichita State on Thursday, Feb. 20 before hitting the road to face No. 22 Memphis on Sunday, Feb. 23.
The Owls currently stand in fourth place in the American Athletic Conference with a record of 15-10, 8-4 in league play. Their matchup against the Shockers (15-10, 5-7 AAC) will see Eleanor R. Baldwin become Del Boca Vista for "Seinfeld Night," celebrating the team's relationship with the iconic television show. The primetime matchup will air on ESPN2, tipping off at 9 p.m.
FAU will then face the No. 22 Tigers (25-10, 11-2 AAC), the current top team in the conference, for the second time this season. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST, also airing on ESPN2.

- Florida Atlantic owns the longest active winning streak in the American and is the only team with three 20+ point victories during league play
- Sophomore forward Kaleb Glenn, who currently leads the team at 12.8 points per game, earned his second AAC Honorable Mention after averaging 17.5 ppg on 68% shooting, during the team's wins over Charlotte and Tulsa
- Center Matas Vokietaitis has won five AAC Freshman of the Week awards, the most of in the conference
- The Owls are ranked 10th nationally in bench ppg (32.6)
- Redshirt sophomore guard Niccolo Moretti, who recently reached 100 career assists, is 11th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio with 94-to-29 (3.24)
- FAU is the second highest scoring team in the AAC (81.4 ppg) as well as field goal percentage (46.9%). and leads the league in assists (16.7 apg). Graduate guard KyKy Tandy is second in the conference in three-point percentage (41.4%) ,junior forward Baba Miller is second in blocks per game (1.7) and junior guard Leland Walker is tied for fourth in assists per game (4.2)
- Head Coach Paul Mills is in his second season with the Shockers
- Senior guard Xavier Bell is the team's top scorer with 14.5 per game
- Defensively, Wichita State is led by senior center Quincy Ballard, who leads the conference in blocks at 2.0 per game and is second in rebounds (8.7)
- The Shockers have won four games in a row, most recently over the ranked Tigers
- In their head-to-head series with FAU, the Owls currently have the edge 2-1, winning both of their matchups during the 2023-24 season
- Head Coach Penny Hardaway is the longest tenured coach in the AAC at seven seasons
- During the 2024-25 campaign, the Tigers have been ranked as high as No. 14 in the nation
- Redshirt sophomore guard PJ Haggerty, who has been named to the midseason watchlist for the Wooden Award, Oscar Robertson Trophy and the Jerry West Award, is fifth in the nation scoring 21.2 points per game. He is also tied for the conference lead with 2.0 steals per game
- Senior guard Tyrese Hunter is averaging 14.9 points per game and leads the AAC shooting 41.9% from downtown
- As a team, Memphis are the top shooters in the conference at 47.3% from the field
- The Owls and Tigers have faced off five times in school history, with FAU winning two of those matchups including the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament
Florida Atlantic has announced that a limited number of tickets are on sale for Thursday's matchup. Limited tickets available are based on those returned by the visiting team and can be purchased by visiting
Ticketmaster or by calling by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS. Tickets are $100 in the lower bowl and $50 in the upper arena.
The Owls will host North Texas (18-6, 9-3 AAC) on Thursday, Feb. 27, with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
