Courtney and Foran Receive AAC Honors

BOCA RATON, Fla. – A pair of Owls from the No. 18 Florida Atlantic softball team, junior pitcher Autumn Courtney and freshman outfielder Bella Foran, received weekly honorable mentions from the American Athletic Conference.
This marks the second recognition in two weeks of the season for Courtney and the first for Foran. The two led the team through the Joan Joyce Classic, in which the Owls recorded wins over Minnesota, NC State, and Dartmouth, to improve their record to 9-2.
Courtney, the junior transfer from Queens, made two starts and recorded her third complete game of the season. In the team's 2-0 shutout over Dartmouth, she struck out nine batters to up her career total to 994. Her stellar start to the 2025 campaign, her first as an Owl, has seen her lead the AAC in strikeouts (46, 18 more than second place), wins (four), and ERA (0.25).
Foran has made instant impact as a freshman and is currently on a seven-game hit streak. Over the course of the weekend, she registered eight hits in 13 at-bats and added three runs and two RBI, with multi-hit games against Minnesota, NC State, and Dartmouth. She currently leads the conference in hits (17) and batting average (.548).
