Academic Excellence a Standard in Paradise

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic student-athletes stepped into the second decade of consistent academic excellence, posting above a 3.0 GPA for the 21st consecutive semester and recording the eighth straight semester with a 3.1 or better. The overall department GPA for the fall of 2025 stands at 3.262.
"Our student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom, and I am extremely proud of this consistent level of academic success," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White. "The decade-long streak of achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is truly an incredible accomplishment by our student-athletes, coaches, academic staff and everyone who supports our mission."
Nearly three-fourths of the 352 Owls, 74%, averaged a "B" or better, while 18 out of 19 teams were above the 3.0 standard with the 19th missing the mark by 0.083 percent. All women's teams posted a 3.3 or better. Men's soccer, which advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history, led the way on the men's side with a 3.389 team GPA. Both the department and the women's side were led by women's golf, which accomplished a 3.811 semester GPA.
Recognition was spread throughout the honorees with 37 earning a perfect 4.0 GPA, including 26 females and 11 males. The President's List included 26 members (^), a near record high 173 of student-athletes earned a spot on the University's Dean's List (*).
