Owls Meet Tulsa in American Conference Semifinals

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Florida Atlantic men's soccer (10-3-2) will face Tulsa (5-8-4) in the American Conference Semifinals on Wednesday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at Transamerica Field on the campus of Charlotte.

ABOUT THE OWLS

The Owls are back in the American Semifinals for the second time since joining the conference in 2022.
The Owls are looking to earn their second conference tournament title (2007).
Senior forward Mamadou Diarra is the American Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
The Owls were also awarded Coaching Staff of the Year, and five players were named to the all-conference teams.
Aboubacar Traore, Sebastian Zettl, and Diarra are all tied for third in program history with 15 assists for their respective careers. The record is 19.
The Owls are looking to join the 2007, 2003, and 1989 teams with 11 wins in a season (3rd-most in a single season). 13 is the single-season record set by the 1996 team.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN HURRICANE

Tulsa knocked off USF 3-2 in overtime in the Quarterfinals.
Redshirt sophomore midfielder Jared Aguilar leads the team with nine points.
Tulsa finished sixth in the American in the regular season with a record of 3-3-2 in league play.

SERIES HISTORY

FAU and Tulsa tied 0-0 in the regular season finale on November 2.
The Golden Hurricane lead the all-time series 4-0-1.

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner will face either Charlotte or FIU in the Championship on Saturday at 6 p.m.
