BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls are prepped for another important two-game homestand this weekend as the Owls host Wichita State on Friday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. ET, before closing out the weekend with a matchup against Tulsa on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. ET inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. Fans can also catch both matches live on ESPN+.

A LOOK AT THE OWLS
- FAU opens the weekend tied for fourth in the American with a 16-7 record this season and a 7-3 mark in American play. The Owls are riding a two-game winning streak after going 2-0 last weekend with a four-set win at Memphis and earning a road sweep at UAB.
- The Owls' offense is paced by Olivia Hart, Anna Hartman, and Erin Morrissey. Hart boasts a team-best 3.73 kills per set, while Hartman and Morrissey rank second and third on the team, averaging 2.66 and 2.41 kills per set, respectively.
- Florida Atlantic's assists leaders are Emsley Venard and Victoria Hensley. Venard boasts a team-leading 494 assists, averaging 6.10 per set, while Hensley ranks second on the team with 414 assists, dishing out 5.05 per set.
- The Owls' back row is anchored by libero Isabelle Northam, boasting a team-best 333 digs, averaging 4.27 per set. Hart ranks second on the team in digs with 238, averaging 2.90 per set.
- At the net, Florida Atlantic's block is led by Maggie Allred. Allred has registered a team-best 95 blocks this season, averaging 1.27 blocks per set.
SCOUTING WICHITA STATE
- Wichita State enters Friday's contest at 14-8 overall and 6-4 in conference play. The Shockers have won just one of their last three matches and are just coming off a five-set loss against North Texas.
- The Shockers are led offensively by Sydney Dunning and Brooklyn Leggett, averaging 3.64 and 3.20 kills per set.
- Jordan Heatherly is Wichita State's assists leader, dishing out a team-best 727 assists and averaging 8.55 assists per set.
- Defensively, the Shockers' back row is led by Gabi Maas, Katie Galligan, and Dunning. Maas boasts a team-best 238 digs, averaging 3.97 digs per set, while Galligan and Dunning rank second and third, averaging 2.68 and 2.40 digs per set, respectively.
- At the net, Wichita State's block is led by Maddie Wilson, who has recorded a team-leading 101 blocks, averaging 1.23 blocks per set this season.
SCOUTING TULSA
- Tulsa enters the weekend third in the American at 18-4 overall and 8-2 in league play. The Golden Hurricane is coming off a split weekend in which they fell in four sets against North Texas before closing out the weekend with a sweep over UTSA.
- The Golden Hurricane is led offensively by Lauren Eitler, Olivia Vance, Beth Bayless, and Kat Cooper. Vance boasts a team-leading 207 kills, averaging 2.62 per set, while Vance ranks second with 201 kills, but leads the team with 2.91 kills per set. Bayless and Cooper are tied for third with 187 kills apiece, averaging 2.63 and 2.37 kills per set, respectively.
- Brayden Hipp leads Tulsa and the American in assists, dishing out 784 assists this season and averaging 9.92 assists per set.
- The Golden Hurricane's back row is led by Lauren Patterson, tallying a team-best 306 digs and averaging 3.87 digs per set.
- Tulsa's blocking leader is Jill Hanson, who boasts a team-best 83 blocks, averaging 1.05 blocks per set.
SERIES HISTORY
- Friday marks the fourth all-time meeting between Florida Atlantic and Wichita State and the second in Boca Raton. The Owls won the only meeting in Boca Raton, earning a 3-2 win on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023. However, the Owls have fallen short in the last two meetings against the Shockers, which included a defeat in the American Tournament championship last season on Nov. 24, 2024.
- Sunday also marks the fourth meeting between FAU and Tulsa. The Owls and Golden Hurricane have split the two meetings in Boca Raton, with FAU taking the last matchup 3-1 on Oct. 6, 2023. In the last meeting between the two squads, Tulsa took a four-set contest last season on Oct. 11, 2024.
