BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season is in the books with five former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the eighth week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):
Active Owls (5) #0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
- For the second week in a row and fourth time of the season, Al-Shaair took part in 100% of Houston's defensive snaps. He logged four tackles, including a run stuff for no gain, as the Texans defeated the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 26-15. Texans' Record: 3-4 Next Game: vs. Denver – Sunday, 1 p.m. (FOX)
#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Houston Texans
- Also participating in Houston's 26-15 win over San Francisco, Bryant played a season high 22 snaps on offense. He also added 10 on special teams. Texans' Record: 3-4 Next Game: vs. Denver – Sunday, 1 p.m. (FOX)
#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
- Hendrickson returned from a one-week absence to face off against the New York Jets. and made his presence felt early with a key third down run stuff to eventually force a turnover on downs. The Bengals came up just short in a 39-38 loss. Bengals' Record: 3-5 Next Game: vs. Chicago – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Continuing to be a special teams ace, Pierre saw the field for a season high 20 snaps. The Steelers fell on primetime Sunday night to the Green Bay Packers by a score of 35-25. Steelers' Record: 4-3 Next Game: vs. Indianapolis – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)
#26 Devin Singletary | RB | New York Giants
- "Motor" had an increased role on both offense and special teams in the Giants' 38-20 defeat versus the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. On kick return duties, he took two back for 51 yards, including a 31-yarder. On offense, he recorded a highlight reel play, going vertical on a third-and-seven and catching the ball on the run for a 28-yard reception. Inactive (1) #84 Zaire Mitchell-Paden | TE | New Orleans Saints
- Mitchell-Paden was acquired by New Orleans on the Saturday before Week 8 and was inactive in the Saints' 23-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Saints' Record: 1-7 Next Game: at L.A. Rams – Sunday, 4:05 p.m. (FOX)
