BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's soccer (0-1-1) will welcome Stetson to town for the home opener on Thursday night at 6 p.m. The four-game homestand continues Sunday with a matchup against Belmont. All home games at the FAU Soccer Stadium are free admission.Â

- The Owls posted a draw and a defeat on a two-game trip to Nebraska this past weekend.
- Goalkeeper Nacho Alfaro kept a clean sheet and posted four saves in a 0-0 stalemate against Creighton to start the season.
- The Owls led 1-0 and 2-1 against Omaha on Sunday before the Mavericks swiped the result with two goals in the final 10 minutes.
- Sebastian Zettl had both goals for the Owls. He and Alfaro were each named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

- Stetson went 7-7-4 last season, falling to Bellarmine in the ASUN semifinals.
- The Hatters defeated the Owls 4-3 in DeLand last season.
- Belmont is 1-0-1 entering Thursday's match with Northern Kentucky.
- The Bruins and the Owls tied 1-1 in Nashville last season.
- Belmont finished 8-7-3, falling to Illinois-Chicago in the Missouri Valley tournament first round. Â
- The Owls will welcome Utah Valley to Paradise on Thursday, September 5, for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The homestand concludes on September 13 against UNF.
