BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic volleyball team closed out preseason play on Saturday, earning a 3-0 sweep against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.
Florida Atlantic started things off strong in the opening set, earning a decisive 25-9 win to lead 1-0. The Sailfish battled back in the second, but the Owls closed out set two, 25-20, to hold a 2-0 advantage. Florida Atlantic completed the sweep in the third set, closing out the match with a 25-15 win to take the 3-0 exhibition victory.
The Owls now set their sights on their regular season opening weekend as they get set to host the Florida Atlantic Invitational against Bryant, Seton Hall, and Ball State on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30-31. Florida Atlantic's regular-season opener is on Friday, Aug. 30 at 12 p.m. vs. Bryant.
