Blue Team Secures Win at Red vs. Blue Saturday

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic volleyball team kicked off the 2024 preseason on Saturday with the team's annual Red vs. Blue match inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. The Blue team secured the win on the day, capturing a 2-1 win.
The blue team took the opening lead with a 25-18 win in the opening set. The two squads battled back and forth in the second, but the blue team pulled away with it towards the end, securing a 25-21 second set win and the 2-0 lead. The red team rallied back in the third set, producing a dominant performance to take the final set, 25-10.
The Owls will prepare for their final preseason tune-up next weekend as they get set to host the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish for a 6 p.m. first serve on Saturday, Aug. 24. Florida Atlantic will kick off the 2024 regular season on Friday & Saturday, Aug. 30-31 as they host their season-opening Florida Atlantic Invitational.
