Owls to Compete in 2024 Charleston Classic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's basketball will participate in the 2024 Shriners Children's Hospital Charleston Classic from November 21-24, held at the TD Arena.
Hosted by ESPN Events and broadcasted on several ESPN platforms, a national audience will get an early look at incoming Head Coach John Jakus and the revamped Owls roster. Florida Atlantic were champions of the 2023 ESPN Events Invitational at Walt Disney World, taking down Butler followed by defeating No. 12 Texas A&M and culminating in a 84-50 blowout victory over Virginia Tech in the championship game.
In the competitive eight-team field, Drake, the University of Miami, Nevada, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, Vanderbilt, and VCU will also head to Charleston. Five of these teams made the NCAA Tournament in the past two seasons (with Miami joining FAU in the 2023 Final Four) and Seton Hall additionally winning the 2024 NIT.
The family-friendly event offers teams a week of practice, play, and experiences in and around historic Charleston. Information on travel packages, tickets and more are available at the Charleston Classic website. Tickets will be available for purchase following the announcement of the complete tournament schedule later this summer. In the meantime, fans can secure up to $25 off each all-tournament ticket by signing up for the pre-sale at www.charlestonclassic.com.
