BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's swimming & diving teams continue to set an example in the classroom under the direction of Head Coach
Lara Preacco.
For the sixth consecutive semester, both the men and women were named a Scholar All-American team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
In order to be named to CSCAA Scholar All-America honors, a team must be a CSCAA member and achieve a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 for the semester of Spring 2024. The Owl women tallied a GPA of 3.445, followed closely behind by the men's team recording 3.164 GPA.
The women's team featured 24 members with a GPA over 3.0. 15 members made the Dean's List with
Julia Earnshaw,
Amelia Robertson, and
Lauren Wright making the President's List.
For the men, 17 student-athletes earned a GPA over 3.0. Five earned a spot on the Dean's List, including President's List members
Bennett Balogh and
Gianni Carlino.
In total, 722 teams from 417 institutions were selected by the CSCAA as a Scholar All-American member.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
