Owls Set to Compete in AAC Semifinals

WICHITA, Kan. – Florida Atlantic's softball team will begin its postseason journey on Friday in the semifinal at 3:30 p.m. EST for their first game of the 2024 American Athletic Conference Tournament. The game will air on ESPN+.
The No. 1 seeded Owls earned a bye from the first two days of the tournament and will now take on the winner of Thursday afternoon's matchup between the No. 4 seed Wichita State and No. 5 Tulsa. Florida Atlantic has a combined 5-1 record between the two teams.
The Owls will enter postseason play with a 41-13 overall record, with a 21-6 record in conference play and the AAC Regular Season Championship to claim the No. 1 seed in the tournament.

THE RUNDOWN
The last time the Owls took on Wichita State was back in March when they took two out of the three games in the series. Trinity Schlotterbeck set a new program record of three home runs and nine RBI in Wilkins Stadium. The Owls hold an overall record of 4-1 against the Shockers in program history.
To close out the regular season, Florida Atlantic swept the Golden Hurricane to claim the regular season title on senior weekend. The seniors played a huge part in the series against Tulsa to help the Owls come out with three victories. Florida Atlantic leads the series 9-3 against Tulsa.
