FORT MYERS, Fla.  – Florida Atlantic baseball will play its final non-conference midweek game on Tuesday at Florida Gulf Coast.

The Owls dropped the weekend series at Rice two games to one. All three games were decided by one run. Entering the final conference series, FAU is seventh in the AAC standings. The top eight qualify for the postseason tournament next week in Clearwater.

Christian Adams was 5-for-12 in four games last week. He leads the Owls with a .324 average.
Carter Brady and
Emilio Gonzalez were a combined 10-for-28 (.357) last week. Gonzalez registered three RBI while Brady had a double and scored three runs.
Braden Ostrander has had a recent resurgence with consecutive scoreless outings. He went 2.1 in the series finale against Rice and struck out three. Last Tuesday against FGCU, Ostrander struck out the side in a scoreless frame.

FGCU took two of three from Eastern Kentucky at home over the weekend. At 17-10 in the ASUN, the Eagles are still in contention for the top spot in the league entering this weekend's series at UNF.

The Owls lead the all-time series 17-16 after last week's 9-6 win. FAU has won four of the last five overall against the Eagles.

The Owls square off with UTSA in the final weekend of the regular season. The series begins Thursday and ends Saturday at the FAU Baseball Stadium.
