DELAND, Fla. – The No. 25 Florida Atlantic softball team won on the road in a non-conference matchup against Stetson by a score of 3-2 to improve their winning streak to eight. Florida Atlantic improves to 28-7 on the season.

The Owls are now 18-5 against non-conference opponents. Pitcher Trinity Schlotterbeck picked up her 13th win of the season after relieving Gabby Sacco in the fourth inning.

THE GAME

Sacco started in the circle for Florida Atlantic tonight, facing 20 batters in four innings.
The Owls scored in the top of the second to get on the board early in the game and took the 2-0 lead. Catcher Megan Moll doubled through the right side to score Kamryn Jackson for the game's first run. Back-to-back hits came for Florida Atlantic as Zoey Jones hit an RBI single to extend the lead.

The Hatters tied the game at two apiece in the fourth inning. The seventh inning came around with the score still at 2-2 until the Owls answered back, and Jackson hit an RBI double to center field to take that lead in the eighth inning.

Schlotterbeck faced 16 batters on the day and recorded four strikeouts on the night.
