BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swim team will be competing in two meets this weekend in Coral Cables and Biscayne Bay. First off is a double dual meet against the Miami women's team and the Cincinnati men and women in a meet hosted by Miami on Saturday.
On Sunday, select Owls will be in Biscayne Bay to participate in the 2024 CSCAA Open Water National Championship, hosted by FIU. The top five individual finishers in each race will qualify for the USA Swimming 5K Open Water Championship. There will also be team scores based off of the top five finishers from each university. Each swimmer's score will be determined by their placing, with the lowest combined team score being the winner.

Select Owl swimmers competed at the Toyota U.S. Open meet last Thursday to Saturday. Overall, five athletes competed, representing Belgium and the United States. The weekend was highlighted by
Daniel Laureyssens qualifying for the 'C' final in the 200 free with a time of 54.28 and
Riley Trout qualifying for the 'C' final in the 100 back.
The Owls will hop right back into the pool as the whole swimming squad will get together to host the FAU Fun Invite on Dec 20. against Old Dominion and Rice at the FAU Aquatic Center.
