BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team will host Texas State on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. The game, airing on ESPN+, tips off at 2 p.m.
The Owls (6-5) take on a Bobcats team (7-3) that has won five straight games to mark the final home game of 2024 and conclude a two-game stand at the Elly. The two programs have only faced off once back in 2016 that resulted in a narrow 61-57 Texas State victory in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Tre Carroll, the reigning American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, scored 17, sharing the team lead with freshman center
Matas Vokietaitis who tied his career high. The Owls had a strong outing in the paint, outscoring the Dolphins 42-10 and winning the rebound battle 50-36 while four members of the team's frontcourt recorded double digit points.

- FAU has had eight different leading scorers in their first 11 games. Five of them have reached the 20+ point mark, Glenn doing so twice
- The Owls rank 21st in the nation in points per game (85.8) and are 15th in bench ppg (35.2)
- Current scoring milestones to watch is junior guard Leland Walker at 1,000 career points (currently at 947) and junior forward Baba Miller nearing 500 (436)
- As a team, FAU is sixth in the nation in three-pointers made with 113. Graduate guard KyKy Tandy leads with 28 triples
- Carroll received the Owls' first AAC Player of the Week of the season following the victory over FIU
- Center Matas Vokietaitis has won two AAC Freshman of the Week honors, while Glenn and Miller have each earned a spot on the conference's weekly honor roll
- FAU was ranked fifth in the American Athletic Conference's Preseason Coaches' poll. Tandy was named to the preseason All-AAC Second Team
- Head Coach Terrence Johnson is in his fifth season at the helm of the program
- In the NET rankings, Texas State is the highest rated Sun Belt team
- Five different players have recorded a 20+ point outing
- Senior guard Kaden Grubs leads the team in scoring (14.4 ppg), assists (4.2), and steals (1.7)
- Graduate guard Drue Drinnon has a team-high 18 three-pointers on 56.3% shooting from beyond the arc
- Three players are averaging over six rebounds per game, led by graduate forward Tyrel Morgan (6.9)
- The Bobcats are one of three Division I teams to not have a freshman on their roster

A Big Ten matchup awaits the Owls for their final game of 2024, traveling to East Lansing to take on No. 21 Michigan State (8-2) on Saturday, Dec. 14. The game will air on Fox Sports 1 and tip off at 2 p.m.
