BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls are set for their final regular season road trip this weekend as they make a swing through the Lone Star State to take on the North Texas Mean Green on Friday, Nov. 8, and the UTSA Roadrunners on Sunday, Nov. 10.
Friday's first serve is set for 7 p.m. ET, while Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
- Florida Atlantic enters this weekend's matches at 14-10 on the season and 6-6 in AAC play. The Owls are 4-2 over their last six contests, earning wins against Rice, South Florida, Charlotte, and Temple.
- As a team, the Owls rank second in the AAC in assists (1,131) and digs (1,434) and third in kills (1,198), attacks (3,309), assists per set (12.43), digs per set (15.76), kills per set (13.16), attacks per set (36.36), and opponent hitting percentage (.191).
- The Owls' offensive leaders are Katelynn Robine and Valeria Rosado. Robine boasts a team-leading 279 kills, averaging 3.13 kills per set, while Rosado ranks second on the team with 262 kills, averaging 2.91 kills per set.
- Victoria Hensley leads the AAC in assists, dishing out 971 assists, which ranks eighth nationally, and ranks second in the conference in assists per set, averaging 10.67 assists per set, ranking her 16th in the nation.
- Libero Isabelle Northam leads the team in digs, averaging 2.78 digs per set, and Rosado ranks second on the team in digs, tallying 2.69 digs per set.
- The Owls' block is led by Kaila Ru, averaging 1.27 blocks per set, while Madison Dyer ranks second on the team, recording 0.80 blocks per set this season.
- North Texas enters Friday's matchup at 8-15 overall and 5-7 in AAC play. The Mean Green are on a five-game skid after falling against South Florida, Tulane, UAB, and twice against Memphis.
- The Mean Green are led offensively by Aryn Johnson, who boasts a team-high 2.92 kills per set, while Payton Van Veen and Coco Gillett rank second and third, averaging 2.57 and 2.55 kills per set, respectively.
- North Texas' assist leader is Kamryn Scroggins, who has dished out a team-best 5.99 assists per set, while Alexa Washington ranks second on the team with 3.56 assists per set this season.
- Scroggins also leads the Mean Green in digs, tallying a team-high 197 digs, averaging 2.53 digs per set, while Paige Mooney boasts a team-leading 2.67 digs per set, ranking second with 128 digs.
- At the net, the Mean Green's blocking leaders are Ryann Vik and Priscilla Jones, averaging 1.09 and 0.85 blocks per set, respectively.
- UTSA enters this weekend at 8-17 overall and 2-10 in league play and is currently on a two-game skid after falling in a pair of sweeps against Tulane and Rice.
- As a team, the Roadrunners lead the AAC in blocks per set (2.25) and rank third in blocks (202.5).
- The Roadrunners are led offensively by Mia Soerensen, Ally Tribe, and Caroline Krueger, averaging 2.68, 2.13, and 2.00 kills per set, respectively.
- Soerensen also leads the Roadrunners in blocks with 87, averaging 0.97 blocks per set.
- UTSA's assists leader is Annika Sokol, who has dished out 412 assists and averages 5.15 assists per set, followed by Morgen Durgens and Makenna Wiepert with 257 and 153 assists, averaging 4.14 and 5.46 assists per set, respectively.
- The Roadrunners' back row is led by Aliah Giroux, who boasts a team-leading 4.32 digs per set this season.
- Following this weekend's matches, the Owls will return to Paradise for senior weekend to close out the regular season. The Owls take on UAB on Nov. 15 and Tulane on Nov. 17.
