BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic volleyball is set to wrap up its regular season slate this weekend as the Owls host UAB on Friday, Nov. 15 and Tulane on Sunday, Nov. 17 for senior weekend. The seniors will be recognized on Sunday following the match against Tulane.
Friday's first serve is set for 6 p.m. ET, while Sunday is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
- Florida Atlantic enters this weekend's matches at 15-11 on the season and 7-7 in AAC play.
- As a team, the Owls rank third in the AAC in assists (1,225) and digs (1,532), kills (1,298), assists per set (12.50), kills per set (13.24), attacks per set (36.27), and opponent hitting percentage (.195), and fourth in attacks (3,554) and digs per set (15.63).
- The Owls' offensive leaders are Katelynn Robine and Valeria Rosado. Robine boasts a team-leading 296 kills, averaging 3.08 kills per set, while Rosado ranks second on the team with 295 kills, averaging 3.04 kills per set this season.
- Victoria Hensley leads the AAC in assists, dishing out 1,046 assists, which ranks 10th nationally, and ranks second in the conference in assists per set, averaging 10.67 assists per set, ranking her 20th in the nation.
- Libero Isabelle Northam leads the team in digs, averaging 2.81 digs per set, while Rosado ranks second on the team in digs, tallying 2.64 digs per set.
- The Owls' block is led by Kaila Ru, averaging 1.22 blocks per set, while Madison Dyer ranks second on the team, recording 0.83 blocks per set this season.
- UAB enters the final weekend of the regular season tied for ninth in the AAC at 10-15 overall and 5-9 in league play. The Blazers are won two of their last four contests and are currently on a one-game skid after falling in straight sets this past Sunday at Rice.
- As a team, the Blazers rank fourth in service aces per set (1.63) and fifth in blocks per set (2.15).
- The Blazers offense is paced by Jorda Crook, who has tallied a team-leading 314 kills, averaging 3.53 kills per set this season. Mia Reese and Abby Jones rank second and third for the Blazers, recording 2.93 and 2.41 kills per set, respectively.
- UAB's assists leader is Kelsey Smith, who has dished out a team-high 660 assists, averaging 7.42 assists per set.
- Brooklyn Allison leads the Blazers' back row, recording 3.53 digs per set.
- At the net, the Blazers are led by Madison Page, averaging 1.08 blocks per set, followed by Crook and Chloe Rodriguez, averaging 0.73 and 0.72 blocks per set, respectively.
- Tulane enters this weekend's matches tied for seventh in the AAC and is 14-12 overall and 6-8 in conference play. The Green Wave are on a three-game skid after dropping a five-set battle against Charlotte and a pair of straight-set defeats at Temple and vs. Wichita State.
- As a team, the Green Wave rank second in the AAC in attacks (3,581), third in blocks (216), fourth in kills (1,238), and fifth in hitting percentage (.221), assists (1,154), and digs (1,512).
- The Green Wave's offense is led by Sami Jacobs and Avery Burks, averaging 2.94 and 2.71 kills per set, respectively. Jacobs also leads the Green Wave's back row, tallying a team-leading 3.41 digs per set.
- Tulane runs a two-setter offense with Zoe Rachow and Katherine Crosley powering the Green Wave attack. Rachow has dished out a team-leading 540 assists, averaging 5.35 assists per set, while Crosley has dished out 471 assists, averaging 4.86 per set.
- At the net, the Green Wave block is led by Jordan White and Sabrina Skyers, averaging 0.93 and 0.90 blocks per set, respectively.
- After senior day, the Owls will start prepping for the American Athletic Conference tournament which will be Friday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 24 at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
