Owls Welcome Ospreys for Education Day

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic Owls continue their three-game homestand on Wednesday, Nov. 13 as they host the North Florida Ospreys for their annual Education Day. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

FLORIDA ATLANTIC: AT A GLANCE

SCOUTING NORTH FLORIDA

North Florida enters Wednesday's matchup at 1-2 overall. The Ospreys are just coming off an 81-65 loss against Georgia Southern.
The Ospreys are led offensively by Jazmine Spencer, Kaila Rougier, and Jasmynne Gibson, averaging 14.0, 10.3, and 10 points per game, respectively.
Gibson also leads North Florida on the glass, collecting a team-leading 5.7 rebounds per game, while Sarah Taub ranks second on the team with 4.7 rebounds per game through their first three contests.
Taub leads the Osprey in assists, dishing out a team-high 3.7 assists per game.
North Texas' steals leader is Spencer, collecting 3.7 steals per game this season.

SERIES HISTORY

Florida Atlantic leads the all-time series 7-3 against North Florida, including a perfect 5-0 record for games played in Boca Raton. The Owls have won three of the last four contests, including an 84-75 overtime victory last season on Nov. 13, 2023, in Jacksonville.

LAST TIME OUT: VS. MERCER

Florida Atlantic secured its first win of the 2024-25 season on Saturday, grinding out a gritty 58-48 victory over the Mercer Bears.
Mya Perry led the Owls offensively with a team-leading 18 points, while Erin Rodgers also finished in double-figures for the Owls with 11 points.
Rodgers led Florida Atlantic defensively, collecting a game-high and career-best eight rebounds and five steals.
Stefanie Rodgers dished out a game-high five assists
Florida Atlantic outscored Mercer in the first quarter, 15-10, second quarter, 13-9, and third quarter, 13-11.
The Owls also held advantages in second-chance points, 12-9, and off points in transition, 13-4.
Florida Atlantic outshot Mercer from beyond the arc, 43.8 percent to 12.5 percent, and from the field, 38.3 percent to 32.7 percent.
The win snapped a five-game skid for the Owls against the Mercer Bears.
