BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will hit the road for a meet hosted by the University of Nova on Friday.

The meet, which will also include University of Florida's teams, will mark the first road meet and dual meet of the season for the Owls.Â

The Owls saw success from newcomers in their opening meet of the season against Indian River.
Â
Men
- In his first meet as a member of Florida Atlantic, Peyton Ming dominated with victories in both the 100 back (50.14) and 100 fly (49.62), as well as being a member of the winning 200 medley relay team (1:30.43)
- Brandon Shepherd, the 2023 conference diver of the year, picked up right where he left off with a first-place finish in the 1-meter dive (284.78)
- Logan Thornsberry won the 1000 free (9:48.22)
- Captain Jackson Kirk placed in first in the 200 free (1:41.08)
Women
- Freshman Nula Gow won the 200 breast (2:19.94)
- In her first race as an Owl, freshman Izzy Jones finished in first place in the 50 free (23.74)
- Newcomer Yasmine Safargar captured the victory in the 200 IM (2:08.94)
- Roberta Circi took first place in the 100 back (57.90)
- Riley Trout placed in first in the 200 back (2:04.20)

Up next for the Owls will be the TYR Fall Classic from Oct. 6-7, where they will look to recapture their second place finish from the previous year.
