Sturdza in the Hunt Again in Virginia

RICHMOND, Va. – Florida Atlantic men's golf (-14) is seventh of 14 teams after 36 holes at the VCU Shootout. James Madison (-27) leads the team competition with 18 holes to play on Tuesday.

Senior Max Sturdza picked up where he left off at last week's event posting rounds of 67 and 69 on Monday.
Sturdza circled five birdies in the opening round and then moved up three places on the leaderboard with five more birdies and an eagle in the afternoon loop. He's tied for sixth, five back of Davidson's Alex Heffner (-13).
Kaleb Palm, Andres Atrio, and Jack Wehle are all tied for 31st at -2 with NaShawn Tyson two back at even-par in a tie for 47th.
