BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Katerina Filip and
Martina Kudelova will take the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center Courts for the final time in their collegiate careers this Friday, April 7, at 3 p.m., when Florida Atlantic University plays host to Conference USA and in-state foe FIU.
Four Owls have tallied double-digit wins in 2023, with the two seniors being among the two. Sophomore
Millie-Mae Matthews leads the way with a 14-9 overall record and a 12-5 dual match record. Fellow sophomore
Victoria Gomez O'Hayon comes into the final home match with a 10-8 mark. Seniors Kudelova and Filip have managed courts one and two throughout the last three seasons.
Kudelova enters the weekend with a 10-13 overall record and a 7-9 dual match 2023 record. She has tallied a five-year career record of 56-47 overall and 39-40 dual match record. Kudelova has represented the Owls in 103 matches, 20 career matches more than any other Owl. Kudelova also now holds the all-time career dual matches played mark at 79. Her overall doubles mark stands at 42-31 and her dual match record is 35-31.
Filip has built an 11-14 overall mark and an 8-10 mark in singles play while holding a 7-12 and 7-9 doubles resume. She has battled most of her career on courts one through three. Her career overall record stands at 31-27 while her career dual match record is 27-19. She has spent time on all three doubles courts and has 21-32 overall record and a 19-25 dual match doubles record.
