BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University Owls have just two home matches remaining before heading to the 2023 Conference USA Championship one last time, and for two special seniors, the matches will mark the conclusion of two memorable careers.
The first such match is schedule for Friday, March 24 at 11 a.m. pitting the 8-11 Owls against Maryland, who will enter the contest with an 11-3 record. The Owls will then wrap up the regular season in a showcase of south Florida foes, FAU versus FIU, as a tune up to the C-USA tournament on April 7.
FAU continues to be led by sophomore Millie-Mae Mathews, who enters Friday's contest with a 12-4 record. She is joined by fellow double-digit match winner
Victoria Gomez O'Hayon, who comes into the match with a record of 10-7. Seniors
Katerina Filip is 8-9 and
Martina Kudelova is 6-9. The duo of Matthews and Gomez O'Hayon hold a team leading 6-1 mark as a doubles pair, while Filip and
Lexi Silna have built a 4-0 mark in recent weeks.
The Owls will honor seniors Filip and Kudelova on Friday, April 7. Filip's FAU career spans three seasons and 57 matches while Kudelova has represented FAU in 104 matches.

The Owls will next travel to Denton, Texas for the C-USA Championship scheduled for April 20-23.
