BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will wrap up its two game homestand when the Owls take on Louisiana Tech on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. The Owls will look to extend their winning streak at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena to 16 games, which dates back to the final game of last season.

Florida Atlantic remains tied with Purdue and Houston for the best record in the nation at 23-2. The Owls are 13-1 in Conference USA play with a three game lead over North Texas for first place. The Owls are also 14-0 at home this year with a 15-game winning streak in Paradise dating back to the last game of last season, which is tied for the third-longest streak in the nation (UCLA 21, Kent St. 19, Providence 15.)

- The Owls are coming off of an offensive battle on Thursday night, defeating Rice 90-81
- For the second straight game, Vladislav Goldin led the way for Florida Atlantic's offensive production, tying his career high with 19 points on 7-9 shooting
- FAU had the rebound advantage, with 39 compared to Rice's 28. This continues to be a winning formula for the Owls, with the team having a record of 19-0 when they get more boards
- The team outpaced their nation-leading 37.46 points per game off of the bench against Rice, finishing the night with 40. Johnell Davis and Michael Forrest earned the lion's share of bench points with 16 and 14, respectively
- Honored before the game for breaking FAU's all-time career 3-pointers record in the team's previous outing, Forrest extended his lead in the top spot by two more triples. His 14 points were his highest point total since November 30
- The Owls were able to get to the line 29 times and tied their season high with 24 free throws made
- In his two games since returning to the starting lineup, Alijah Martin has scored 14.5 points per game on 62% from the field, 62.5% from beyond the arc, and a perfect 8-8 from the free throw line. He has also tallied 6.5 rebounds per game
- FAU last faced Louisiana Tech in the previous season on February 3, 2022, where they came away with an 83-73 victory at home
- Martin and Forrest will look to repeat their success from their last matchup against the Bulldogs where they each dropped 20 plus points, Martin with 21 and Forrest with 20. Bryan Greenlee chipped in as well with 19 points of his own
- The biggest challenge for the Owls will be to contain LA Tech's Junior guard Cobe Williams, averaging 18.7 points per game on 45.6% shooting
