Owls Earn First-Ever NIVC Appearance

BOCA RATON, Fla. – For the first time in program history and following the Owls' first 20-win season since 2018, the Florida Atlantic volleyball team will continue their season in the 2023 National Invitational Volleyball Championship.
The Owls are heading to El Paso, Texas to take on UT Arlington (20-10) on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. ET inside Memorial Gym. Following the Owls' contest, host UTEP will then face off against North Texas at 9:30 p.m. ET. Winners of both contests will advance to the NIVC second round set for Saturday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. ET.
Florida Atlantic's remarkable 2023 season, 20-12, marked the Owls' first 20-win season since 2018 and the seventh 20-win season in program history, as well as the second most wins for any Owl team under head coach Fernanda Nelson.
