FAIRFAX, Va. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving teams continued to build their lead on day two of the Patriot Invitational. Both teams remain in first place after a day that saw seven first place finishes in the finals and three new school records.

Men
- The men remain in first place with 737.50 points
- In the preliminary rounds, Dalton Lillibridge broke his own FAU record in the 100 breast (53.41)
- The finals were kicked off with another school record, this time in the 200 medley relay. Peyton Ming, Lillibridge, Jackson Kirk, and Jacob Rubin combined for a showing of 1:26.74
- Kirk and Timo Paisley tied for the first place finish in the 200 free (1:37.73)
- Ming tallied first in the 100 back (48.53)
- Trevor Kuhn placed in third on the 3-meter dive (291.05)

Women
- The women built on their first-place lead with 743 points
- Riley Trout, Izzy Jones, Bilu Bianchi and Lauren Wright combined for a meet record and school record in the 200 medley relay (1:39.92)
- The Owls put together a sweep in the 1-meter dive. Alicia Mora placed in first with a score of 265.45, Trinity McNall followed in second (263.50) and Selina Staudenherz took third (251.75)
- Yasmine Safargar captured first place in the 400 IM (4:24.82)
- Kasia Szlek went for gold in the 200 free (1:51.15)
- Bianchi took first in the 100 breast (1:02.49)

One more day remains. The Owls will look to close out on top in the third day of the Patriot Invitational. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m.
