BOCA RATON, Fla. – Perfect Game USA released its 2023 Conference USA baseball preview on Tuesday.
Nolan Schanuel and
Dylan Goldstein were named to the Preseason All-Conference team while pitcher
Dylan Oborne was recognized as the Preseason Freshman of the Year. Schanuel was also named as the league's top prospect for the 2023 MLB Draft.

Schanuel hit .369 with 16 home runs and 56 RBI as a sophomore in 2022. The Boynton Beach product has already been named as a Perfect Game First Team All-American in addition to earning Third Team honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Goldstein's 18 home runs in 2022 were just one off the team-lead. He also hit .333, drove in 63 runs, and led the Owls with a .662 slugging percentage.

As for Oborne, the Owls are hopeful the freshman can step into a normal role in the starting rotation. A native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, the 6-3 210 lb. righty was a top prospect coming out of Westmount Collegiate Institute in Thornhill, Ontario.
