First C-USA Home Game on Deck

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The first home Conference USA game of 2022 season is on deck for the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team. The Owls will welcome the UTSA Roadrunners to Paradise on Thursday, Sept. 22, for a 7 p.m. kick off.

About the Owls

FAU is looking to extend its winning streak to three games
Speaking of streaks, the Owls ended North Texas' NCAA record unbeaten streak last game out. The Mean Green had won 65 straight conference games at home, yet that came to an end with the Owls' 1-0 win.

North Texas had the fourth ranked offense in the nation entering the match, but the Owls' defense pitched the shutout
FAU has tallied five shutouts this year, while its goals against average of one ranks third in C-USA
Gi Krstec has scored a goal in each of the last three games, which is the first time an Owl has done so since Mary O'Hara from Sept. 8-19 2019
Krstec received College Soccer News National Team of the Week recognition for her efforts. She is tied with Bri Austin for the team lead in goals this season with four each
Hailey Landrus earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week honors. Landrus assisted on Austin's game-winner against Kansas with 11 seconds remaining and went the full 90 in the shutout against the potent North Texas attack

About the Roadrunners

UTSA defeated Charlotte 2-0 last time out. The Roadrunners are 1-1 in Conference USA action
The Roadrunners have a strong offense, ranking second in the conference in scoring with 21 goals on the campaign
On the flip side, UTSA leads the conference in goals allowed with only six all year
