Men’s Soccer Announces 2022 Schedule

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer program will make its American Athletic Conference debut as part of a 16-game 2022 regular season schedule. The Owls will play five non-conference matches leading up to the AAC home opener against USF on September 16 under the lights at the FAU Soccer Stadium.
The regular season begins with a crosstown matchup against Lynn at home on August 28. Duals with Stetson and Lipscomb will follow before the Owls hit the road for the first time.
A trip to New York for meetings with Army and Marist will serve as the final tune up before the eight-game AAC slate begins on the 16th of September. The Owls will host USF, Charlotte, Temple, UAB, and SMU and visit UCF, Tulsa, Memphis, and FIU. Non-conference matchups with North Florida and Florida Gulf Coast will be mixed in as well. The AAC Quarterfinals are scheduled for November 6.
The Owls return several key pieces for last year's team that advanced to the Conference USA championship game including seniors Jose Alastuey and Tom Abrahamsson and graduate students Edgardo Obregon and Blake Dean.
"We are looking forward to this year's schedule. We have many competitive non-conference games including two NCAA tournament teams from last year, Lipscomb and Marist. And we are really excited to be joining the American Athletic Conference and playing against more top teams in the country. In addition, we have nine games at home. We can't wait to get started."
