BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams have released their 2022 fall schedule, highlighted by hosting the eighth annual FAU Cross Country Invitational in Boca Raton on Friday, Sept. 30.
Both teams will compete in four regular season meets across the state of Florida beginning Friday, Sept. 2 at the UCF Invitational in Orlando at 6:30 p.m. The Owls will then head to Tallahassee on Saturday, Sept. 17 to compete in the Thomas Invitational beginning at 7 a.m.
Florida Atlantic will host the eighth annual FAU Cross Country Invitational on Friday, Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton. FAU's women's and men's teams finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in last year's meet.
The cross country teams will wrap up their regular season in Tampa at the South Florida Bulls Invitational on Friday Oct. 14 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Conference USA Cross Country Championships will be hosted this season by the University of North Texas on Saturday Oct. 29. The NCAA South Regionals will take place on Friday Nov. 11 in Huntsville, Alabama.
The Owls will once again be led by head coach
Alex Smolka, in his 22nd year at the helm of the cross country programs.
