FAU’s Burton Earns Shrine Bowl Spot

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University's wide receiver Je'Quan Burnton has earned a spot on the East/West Shrine Bowl 1000 preseason list (#ShrineBowl1000), as announced by the bowl earlier this month.
Burton, along with other list members, will be tracked throughout the 2022 season as candidates for the 2023 All-Star game. While the list represents 200 schools from various levels of college football, Burton is one of the 37 individuals who compete in Conference USA.
Last season, his first at FAU, saw the Orlando, Florida native play in each of the team's 12 games. He had 27 receptions for a total of 490 yards and scored three touchdowns. The full team can be found HERE.
The Owls will begin official practice July 27 and will have a fan experience at 12:30 p.m. on July 30th.

SEASON OPENER
FAU will open the 2022 season on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, versus Charlotte at FAU Stadium. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. and will be televised on CBSSN and will air locally on Sports640 AM South Florida.FOR SEASON TICKETS

Every year, approximately 1000 all-star game eligible players are drafted, signed after the draft, or attend a rookie mini-camp.
