DELAND, Fla. – Everything came down to court four in the Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team's 3-2 win over No. 18 Stetson. The No. 12-ranked Owls were tied 2-2 with the Hatters, but
Jillienne Cangelosi and
Christine Jarman came back to win the match in three sets. FAU would go on to lose to defending NCAA Champion No. 2 USC (6-1), but still showed a great fight against one of the best teams in the country.
Â
"We walk away 1-1 on the weekend," said head coach
Capri Grotowski. "It was a bit cold and windy. Girls played great in the tougher conditions. I'm looking forward to some good practice, taking care of our bodies and getting back at it!"
