BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University baseball team (3-1) will travel for the first time in 2022 when the Owls face Miami (4-0) on Wednesday, Feb. 23 in Coral Gables, Florida. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
FAU has won three of the last five against Miami including a 3-0 win in their last meeting, on May 18, 2021, in Coral Gables.
FAU is coming off a hot weekend at the plate versus Minnesota. The first game saw the Owls score just one run, but the team tallied 38 in the next three, an averaging nearly 13 per game in that span. On the season, the Owls are slugging a whopping .539, which includes seven home runs, three by transfer

Jalen DeBose is also expected to be in the lineup. DeBose recorded 10 RBI in the first three games of 2022, doubling his RBI production from 2021.
Miami opened 2022 with a 4-0 record. The Canes tallied double digit runs in each of the four games against Towsend. Jacob Burke leads UM with a .308 average. He has one homer.

It will be the 87th meeting between the two schools with the Owls being victorious 20 times, including three of the last five.
