Filip to Lead the Owls

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team (2-1) will travel to Coral Gables, Florida for an 11 a.m. match versus host Miami (1-0), on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
The match will be the home opener for the Canes and the fourth road match for the Owls. The match will be the 20th meeting between the two schools, with Miami taking the April 2021 match, 6-1.
Junior Katerina Filip, who captured her match 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) a year ago, playing No. 5, is one of two upperclassman and is expected to lead FAU. Filip has moved up the lineup to No. 2, and holds a 2-1 record this season at that spot.
