BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team (4-10, 0-3 in Conference USA) is set to makeup its contest at Old Dominion (11-3, 1-1 in C-USA) tomorrow afternoon in Norfolk, Virginia. This game is the third of the Owls' five contests in 10 days and marks the first of three on the road for FAU. The game is set to tipoff at 1:30 p.m. at Chartway Arena, as FAU looks to beat ODU for the first time in school history.

- Jennifer Sullivan is in her first season at the helm of the FAU women's basketball program. She is a 16-year coaching veteran and the sixth head coach in program history
- The Owls are coming off two tough losses at home to Middle Tennessee (60-56) and UAB (82-65)
- FAU brings back eight student-athletes from the 2020-21 team, all of whom have seen time on a college court
- Amber Gaston leads the Owls with 13.1 points per game and a .525 field goal percentage
- Janeta Rozentale has a team's most 8.3 rebounds per game
- Kynadi Kuykendoll leads the way with 3.1 assists per game (43 total)
- FAU has four Owls averaging double digits in scoring (Gaston, Alexa Zaph, Rozentale and Rita Pleskevich)
- The Owls stand second in C-USA in 3-point field goal percentage (.321), second in free throw percentage (.755) and fourth in defensive rebounds/gm (27.1)

- FAU fell to UAB, 82-65. The Owls trailed the Blazers by just two points at halftime, but UAB went on to outscore FAU 49-34 in the second half
- Rozentale logged a career-high 21 points along with six boards and five steals
- Zaph registered 17 points and four boards
- Galeron recorded 12 points off 4-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc
- Kuykendoll logged four assists and had just one turnover
- FAU had a season-low nine turnovers

- Former Owl Iggy Allen, as well as Amari Young and Ajah Wayne made up almost half of the eight-person C-USA Preseason Team
- Allen leads the Monarchs with 14.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game
- Wayne is having another solid season with 13.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game
- Young has tallied 8.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game thus far
- Mariah Adams has team's most 48 assists, which rounds out to 4.0 assists per game

- FAU has never beaten ODU, as the Monarchs hold a 12-0 advantage over the Owls
- The series dates back to 2014, the first year both schools became C-USA opponents. Both schools have played one another every year since 2014 and twice a season since 2019
- FAU will travel to Norfolk, Virginia looking for their first win in school history over the Monarchs
- Last year, the Owls dropped both games against the Monarchs. In the first of the two-game series, FAU lost the game, 71-56. Pleskevich logged 12 points and Galeron tallied eight points and eight boards off the bench
- In the second of two games last season, FAU dropped a heartbreaker, 77-72, despite leading by eight points with five minutes left in the game. Pleskevich registered 15 points and four rebounds. Zaph tallied 13 points and four assists, while Gaston recorded 16 points and seven boards off the bench
