– The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (3-0) is looking to remain perfect as the team hosts UT Rio Grande Valley (2-2) on Thursday night. Tomorrow's match marks the third Western Athletic Conference opponent the Owls will square off against this season. The match is set to commence at 7 p.m. at FAU Soccer Stadium.

- The Owls are 3-0, which signifies the best start for the program since 1996Â
- Ivan Mykhailenko leads the team with three goals for six points, coming off last season being named the Conference USA Co-Golden Boot Award winner last season. His 16 career goals is the 10th most in school history
- Luis Sailer Fidalgo has two assists, leading the team
- Neil Strauber has played all 270 minutes in goal for a 1.00 goals against average while having recorded nine saves and one shutout. He has started and played in 15 straight matches, which dates back to last spring
- The Owls are one of three C-USA teams to begin the season with an undefeated record
- The team was projected to finish sixth out of nine teams in the C-USA Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches
- Alonso Coello Camarero and Mykhailenko were tabbed to the 14-person C-USA Preseason Team
- The team has nine newcomers with 15 different countries being represented on the roster

- UTRGV was selected to finish fifth in the WAC, as voted on by the league's head coaches. The Vaqueros are the highest ranked WAC school FAU will face this season
- Forward Reshaun Walkes was tabbed to the 2021 Preseason All-WAC Team. He is coming off the spring 2021 season having registered five goals for 10 points and being named to the All-Conference Second Team
- UTRGV has started the season 2-2
- Walkes leads the team with five goals and one assist for 11 points with his 1.25 goals per game being the seventh most in the NCAA
- Schneider has tallied 379:19 minutes in goal, and has recorded 11 saves and a 2.14 goals against average

- FAU scored two goals in the second half to elevate past Keiser, 2-1 on Friday night
- Jose Alastuey scored the Owls' equalizing goal at the 66th minute off a sliding assist from Fabrizio Cubeddu
- Mykhailenko registered the game-winning goal off a penalty kick at the 70th minute
- Strauber logged four saves in the win
