Owls' Thursday in Review
FAU (3-4-2) upended North Texas to start off the C-USA slate. The Mean Green had only given up five goals – with five shutouts – in their first nine matches, and led 1-0 at halftime, but
Mia Sennes tied it up in the second half, and
Miracle Porter sent the home fans home happy with the golden goal in the second overtime.

Owls' Sunday in Preview
FIU (1-8) started the year off with a 2-0 win over Stetson on Aug. 19, but has not posted a victory since. Of the eight, seven have been one-goal losses. That included their league opener Thursday, 3-2 to Middle Tennessee, with the winner also occurring in the second overtime. FAU's golden goal came with 2:30 left; MT's came with just 2:07 to go.

The Owls and Panthers have had 35 all-time meetings. FIU won the first 17; since, it's 11-5-2 in favor of FAU, including a 6-0-1 mark since 2014. This past spring in Boca Raton, the Owls took a 3-0 victory.
