BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University women's soccer ends the non-conference portion of its 2021 schedule with the team's only Sunday home match of the fall, hosting Florida Gulf Coast at 4 p.m. at FAU Soccer Stadium.

Owls' Thursday in Review
The Owls (2-3-2) came away with a hard-fought draw against USF (RV) Thursday night, 1-1. The only goal the squad conceded was early, and Miracle Porter buried the equalizer midway through the second, her first score of the season.

Owls' Sunday in Preview
FGCU (2-4), having played all but one match against Florida schools so far, has lost its last two since defeating another Conference USA team in FIU on Sept. 1. Last Sunday, UF edged the Eagles out 1-0, and on Thursday, the team fell 4-0 to No. 1 Florida State. In the spring, the team posted a 7-3-2 mark, with the season ending in the ASUN semifinal round in a 1-0, double-overtime loss to Kennesaw State.

Opponent History
Despite the teams' close proximity, only one time prior have they met, and it was nearly seven months ago to the day: Feb. 11, 2021, in the spring "2020" season. They played to a 0-0 double-OT tie in Fort Myers.

What's Next
C-USA play begins Thursday night, at 7 p.m., hosting North Texas. Next weekend will be the only one to feature two league matchups for the Owls, as on Sunday, the team travels to play FIU as well.
