BOCA RATON, Fla. – A goal in each half pushed Loyola past Florida Atlantic University women's soccer Friday.
 The Beginning
With just over five minutes to go in the first half, the Ramblers (3-0-0) got on the board with a shot from the top of the box.
 The Turning Point:
Just after the break, the Loyola keeper turned away two tremendous looks by the oncoming Owls' (1-2-0) offense. Miracle Porter had the first, and it was knocked away; Erin McRae's rebound attempt was smothered on a sprawling save.
 The Finish:
The Ramblers got insurance in the 79th minute off a corner kick, and held the Owls without a shot for the final 11-minutes plus.
 Notables:
True freshman Sofia Voldby became the seventh Owl to make her FAU debut this season, playing 34 minutes Friday
Quotable:
"Full credit to them," said head coach Patrick Baker of Loyola. "Just at the end of the (first) half, when people are making changes and maybe some tired legs, young lady just hit an unbelievable (shot) coming across the top of the 18, upper 90, far post. We knew they scored early or in key moments … but then I thought we showed some really good stuff coming out to start the second half …Very similar to Miami, we have some game-changing moments and we just can't seem to connect on the attack that maybe we could or should."
