Natalia Boltinskaya of the Florida Atlantic University women's tennis team was tabbed as the school's recipient of the Conference USA Spring Spirit of Service Award, as announced by the league on Tuesday. Boltinskaya is one of 14 recipients chosen from C-USA in the spring sports of baseball, men's and women's golf, softball, outdoor track & field, men's & women's tennis, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.

Boltinskaya is the leader in community service hours among FAU student-athletes, and was recently awarded the the Female Community Service Award Owlspy. The Moscow, Russia product participated in service projects, such as beach cleanups, FAU campus cleanups and the Project Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive. The majority of Boltinskaya's time this year was spent training tennis virtually to individuals with Autism spectrum disorders through theÂ
Love Serving Autism organization.

The soon-to-be graduate is on track to receive a bachelor's degree in hospitality and tourism management this summer. Boltinskaya has been a member of the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and FAU Academic Honor Roll for seven semesters, and has maintained above a 3.0 cumulative GPA since spring 2018.

Boltinskaya is a four-year lettermen on the women's tennis team. She served as a senior leader on the squad this spring, guiding the Owls to the program's highest rank, No. 52, and to a C-USA semifinal finish. Boltinskaya finished the 2021 season 9-7 in dual matches, with seven of those against teams who finished the season ranked among the nation's best. She was tabbed C-USA Player of the Week following a straight win over Miami vs. the nation's No. 102 player. Boltinskaya concluded her four-year career with a 43-32 singles record.
