Owls' Midweek in Review
The No. 21 Owls traveled to Gainesville Wednesday night and brought back with them a 10-inning, 3-2 win over No. 6 Florida. Mitchell Hartigan bookended the night with a first-inning sacrifice fly to score Wilfredo Alvarez, and a two-out RBI single in the 10th, driving in Alvarez again (who also scored the middle run on a run-scoring single by B.J. Murray). TJ Stuart, Hunter Cooley and Mike Entenza gave up a combined two runs on five hits and struck out 14 Gators in the battle of two ranked teams.

KU won on Friday, 5-3, but then the Eagles posted 6-5, 2-0 and 3-2 victories. Joe Kinker leads the squad with a .346 average and is second, alongside Brian Ellis, with five RBI – to Richie Garcia's six.

The Owls' win in Fort Myers two Tuesdays ago has shrunk the Eagles' all-time edge to 12-10. FAU has now won four of the last five, and six of the last nine, in the series against FGCU.
